This dual clear housing comes complete with the sediment and carbon filter (not pictured).

To upgrade your 3 stage cart to a 4 stage simply remove the bracket and carbon pre-filter from your 3 stage and install this bracket and filters in their place. The hardware that is currently holding your carbon pre-filter bracket in place will hold this new bracket in place so no need for any additional hardware.

10" Carbon Filter Benefits:

  • Higher Filtration Capacity: A 10-inch carbon filter generally contains more activated carbon than a dual carbon/sediment filter. This increased carbon volume provides a larger surface area for contaminant adsorption, enabling the filter to handle more water and remove more impurities before needing replacement.
  • Improved Flow Rate: A 10-inch filter can allow for a higher flow rate of water compared to a dual carbon/sediment filter. This is particularly important in applications where a significant volume of water needs to be filtered quickly without reducing water pressure.
  • Longer Period Between Replacements: The increased capacity of a 10-inch filter means that it can go longer between replacements compared to a dual carbon/sediment filter.

10" Sediment Filter Benefits:

  • Greater Filtration Capacity: A 10-inch sediment filter typically has a larger surface area than a dual carbon/sediment filter, allowing it to capture more sediment, dirt, rust, and other particulate matter. This means it can handle a larger volume of water before becoming clogged, making it more suitable for high-demand environments.
  • Higher Flow Rate: A 10-inch filter generally offers a higher flow rate compared to a dual carbon/sediment filter. The larger filter can process more water without causing a drop in pressure.
  • Longer Lifespan: Due to its larger size, a 10-inch filter can trap more contaminants before needing replacement. This extended lifespan reduces the frequency of filter changes, which can save time, effort, and money on maintenance over time.
